Prounounced “chi” or “chee” gong, it is an ancient Chinese Healthcare system developed over 4000 years ago including breathing techniques, focused intention, and standing practices both moving and still, for health, wellness and vitality.

Uhhhh … yes please! QiGong focuses on our Qi…life force energy. Gong… is the skillful way that it is done. Connecting the body to the breath with movements that warm the muscles, tendons, joints, and open the energy meridian lines. There is an activation phase that gets the energy stored in the body to move freely so it can be accessed and utilized. The purging movements allow for release of what is no longer serving… what the body is ready to let go of. Then we start to flow… where we move as nature… with soft, effortless ease. Sloooooowing down… letting the Qi - energy move us.

Our body is… a natural self-healing machine. When we shift into the parasympathetic nervous system of “rest and digest”, the body moves into self-healing mode.

The practice of QiGong does this beautifully… working with the body to release, activate, move and store our own energy in a way that calms the mind, body and soul.
